The countdown to the end of the Glo Premier League season continues as Match Day 32 takes centre stage. The top four teams on the league table will have their title aspirations put under test as they all play in away matches.

The thin line between survival and relegation at the bottom end of the table will also not go unnoticed as Bayelsa United, FC Taraba, Gombe United, Kaduna United, Crown FC and Nembe City are the most threatened teams in the race to escape on this match day.

Gombe United vs Enyimba (@EnyimbaFC)
Venue: Pantami Stadium, Gombe
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

Enyimba had a midweek to remember as they blew apart Sharks 5-2 in Aba, but they will seek to find that away win that has eluded them all season when they play at Gombe United, where they have never won in the premier league era.

But they are this time playing a Gombe United that have found themselves at the wrong end of the table, and are battling for survival. The Savannah Scorpions will be out to sting Enyimba after losing the first meeting in Aba 2-0 through goals from Andrew Abalogu and Mfon Udoh and they will be buoyed by the near perfect outing midweek in Omoku against Nembe City.

Bayelsa United vs Warri Wolves
Venue: Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

Wolves make the short trip from Warri to Benin City, where they will confront former champions, Bayelsa United, who have struggled for consistency this season. Bayelsa United suffered a 3-0 relapse in Warri when the two teams first met this season.

Wolves will be without Gbolahan Salami, who scored twice in that first meeting in Warri. Salami is away on international duty with the Super Eagles in Sudan. But one of the four top scorers, Peter Ebimobowei, will be available for Bayelsa Utd in this crunch game. Another interesting angle to the fixture is that they come with Coach Solomon Ogbeide who obviously has the decoders for Warri Wolves.

Sharks vs Kano Pillars
Venue: Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

Port Harcourt-based club, Sharks, come off a very disappointing defeat to Enyimba in Aba in midweek to confront league leaders and champions, Kano Pillars in their Town Stadium in the heart of the Garden City. In the first game this season, Sharks lost 4-1 to the defending champions.

Sharks have not beaten Kano Pillars in more than three years including drawing their last two home games in Port Harcourt. Pillars start the match day on top of the table with a four-point lead and a psychological edge of three years unschated visits while Sharks are in 10th and looking to redeem a reputation that has suffered many huge defeats including the recent Aba thrashing.

Kaduna United vs El-Kanemi Warriors
Venue: Kaduna Township Stadium, Kaduna
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

It ended 4-0 in favour of El-Kanemi when the two teams met in Kano in June this year. Abdullahi Suleiman, Hassan Hissein, Anayor Emmanuel and Ibrahim Mustapha scored for El-Kanemi in that game.

Kaduna United are in the bottom four and come off two defeats on the road at Dolphins and Nasarawa United. The last time El-Kanemi visited Kaduna they lost 1-0 and they will be hoping that will change this time.

Crown FC vs Giwa FC
Venue: Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

This is a clash of one of the four sides that moved up the elite league this season but which has had contrasting fortunes in their first season. Giwa has been having stints in the top six bracket while Crown has been struggling to shrug off the bottom four. Shuaibu Ibrahim and Usman Nuru Deenee scored for Giwa FC when they defeated Crown FC 2-0 in the first game in Jos. Crown are second from bottom and are condemned to win as they have failed to do so in their last three matches.

Giwa FC have lost all of their six previous away matches. The last time they avoided a defeat in an away match was in June when they drew 0-0 at Enyimba. They will be hoping to get a good result in Ibadan just as Crown need a win to escape relegation.

FC Taraba vs Dolphins
Venue: Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

Goals from Chidiebere Okolie and Emem Eduok helped Dolphins beat FC Taraba 2-0 in their first-ever NPFL meeting. But Dolphins are one of the top four sides yet to win on the road and the trip to Jalingo will put their title credentials to test.

FC Taraba have now felt the impact of top flight football, and will want to battle Dolphins for the full points to help themselves stay in the NPFL especially now they have been hanging around touching distance of the drop zone.

Heartland vs Sunshine Stars
Venue: Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

The two teams produced four goals in the first meeting this season in Akure and it ended 2-2. Heartland will now hope to claim a first league over Sunshine in three years since their 2-0 win in July 2011.

Sunshine's last two trips to Owerri have yielded them two points from two draws including a 0-0 result in this same game last season. But this season Sunshine have only taken one point from their three trips to southeast. This is their fourth time in southeast. Will they be lucky?

Nasarawa United vs Nembe City
Venue: Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

Nasarawa United have won just one game in their last four league matches but when they play at home, they are difficult opponents to face. And that is what awaits Nembe in Lafia, where they lost 1-0 last season.

This season, both teams played a 0-0 draw in Omoku. Nembe are in a race for survival and they will need to be at their best to upset Nasarawa United at home. Nasarawa United have dropped down in the title race and will consider this a chance to make amends. It is yet another opportunity for their new goals machine, Leonard Ugochukwu who has scored four goals in his last two starts to establish his credentials as a natural scorer and one to be reckoned with in the top league.

Lobi Stars vs Rangers
Venue: Emmanuel Atongo Stadium, Katsina-Ala
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm

Rangers made the first game in Enugu against Lobi look easy with a 3-1 win. The Flying Antelopes have gone six games without a loss and that impressive run will be put to the test against Lobi Stars.

Lobi have only failed to beat Rangers only once in previous nine home matches when they drew 0-0 in 2005. Will Rangers extend their unbeaten run to seven games, or will Lobi end that impressive streak of results?

Akwa United vs Abia Warriors
Venue: Uyo Township Stadium, Uyo
Date: 12.10.2014
Time: 4pm
Live on SuperSport 9

Akwa United were battered 4-1 in Umuahia by Abia Warriors with Kolanut Boy, Chisom Chikatara, scoring a brace in that game. Both teams now meet for the second time ever in the premier league with the two sides aiming to finish in continental positions.

Warriors will hope they can toe the line of their Oriental rivals, Rangers, who got a draw in Uyo while Akwa United are seeking to stem their three game run without a win and without scoring goals.
