If Corporate Nigeria Organized As Many Seminars As Concerts, Nigeria Would... by TylerMaster: 7:11am On Oct 14, 2014
If Corporate Nigeria organized as many seminars as concerts, Nigeria would probably have produced two Mark Zuckerbergs!

Nigeria has an alarming culture of frivolity!
Everywhere you go, there’s a concert or show going on every weekend!
Desperate situations require desperate measures; in a country full of impoverished and desperate populace, there is a need for a desperate and spirited move to salvage the situation. Concerts and partying are NOT the way to do that!
Nigeria has perfected two Ps: we have perfected the art of Partying, we have perfected the art of Praying; we need to perfect the art of using Principles.
We are supposed to live by Principles and not by Miracles: Jesus walked on water but he never said it is a means of transportation! Mind you: he still got on the boat!
Jesus turned water to wine but he never said it is the new way to produce wine!
A miracle may help you win the lottery but only principles will help you keep the money!
One of the greatest needs of Nigeria is Education: Education, not necessarily a university degree, but education of the mind. We require education in terms of teaching success & leadership principles to our huge youth population. We are being over-entertained in Nigeria! The music is too loud! There are too many concerts and shows and few, if any, intellectual events.
If Nigeria had as many seminars as shows, she would have surmounted her many sorrows!
If Nigeria had as many conferences as concerts she would have curtailed her uncountable challenges!

If Corporate Nigeria organized as many seminars as concerts, we would have produced a Mark Zuckerberg!
The most frustrating thing is that all these exasperating concerts and shows are being funded by those who should know better: Corporate Nigeria!
By Corporate Nigeria, we do not mean ALL businesses in Nigeria but those major giants behind the so-called "biggest concerts".
They know the value of education: when you check up information about members of their Board of Directors, you’ll find all the possible certifications and degrees the world could offer: MNIM, FSFF, PhD, PMP, ACCA, MBA and on and on the list goes.
Pray, did they get to that exalted position by partying and jumping from one concert to another? Why then do we have their organizations bank-rolling all manner of concerts using different names? In their Board Rooms they no longer discuss business, they discuss parties!
Yeah, I know, they think about the revenue after the party is over; we have too many organizations who are more interested in currency than in legacy!

Google, and other tech giants, is acquiring and building Tech Hubs around the world while Corporate Nigeria is busy organizing the biggest concerts and parties!
So sad!
While other nations train the brains of their youths, Nigeria drains the brains of her youths!
If you were to open up the brain of an average Nigerian youth, what would you find: Celebrity gossip? Latest music lyrics? Entertainment news? Bikini pictures of celebrities?
Nigerian youths are being tossed from one concert to another like a tennis ball.
They recycle the same artists who performed during last week’s concert in this week’s concert and give it another name!
Education has been relegated to the background; that’s why an average musician in Nigeria, for a 30-minute performance, would be paid the equivalent of the annual salary of an MBA degree-holder!
What a country!
Corporate Nigeria has devalued education and given an undeserved throne to entertainment! In Nigeria, we have jam-packed concerts and empty classes!
Corporate Nigeria pays millions to winners of singing competitions and peanuts to winners of intellectual competitions!
