Ofcourse we were right right afterall, Few months ago when google released the developers version of their new operating system we have been sharing rumor which was confirmed moment ago by google that the new OS is named Lollipop.

The following are the new features that come with Android L lollipop.

64-bit compatibility
Lock screen notifications
improved multitasking
encryption
ART
the long- awaited kill switch and power management are a few of the other significant additions

Android 5.0 features a bunch of improvements in battery efficiency thanks to Google’s Project Volta, which has been working on ways to extend your Android device’s battery life by as much as 90 extra minutes when it’s low on power.

By next week, Android L will be released for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Google Play Edition devices.

Google will roll out the update to all previous Nexus device[4,5,7] in the coming weeks while HTC said there device will get the update 90 days after Google release it to them and Motorola promise their device will get the update before the end of this year. Other phone companies like Samsung, Sony e.t.c are yet to confirm when their device will receive the Lollipop update.
