NASS Reiterates Commitment To Tackling Insecurity by Edosbeat(m): 4:04am On Oct 22, 2014
The National Assembly on Tuesday assured Nigerians of its commitment to working with other arms of government in tackling insecurity, economic hardship and other challenges bedeviling the country.
The Senate President, Sen. David Mark, gave the assurance at the maiden matriculation of Post Graduate Students of the National Institute for Legislative Studies in Abuja.
Mark, who decried the escalating level of violence, intolerance and other challenges in the country, said the national assembly would do everything within its reach to improve safety of life and property.
“We at the national assembly are worried by the escalation of violence and the heinous crimes being carried out on a daily basis by terrorists and insurgents,’’ he said.
