Nigeria is currently not interested in hosting next year's Africa Cup of Nations according to a source at the presidency.
His reaction came after statements credited to Vice Chairman of the NFF Seyi Akinwumi stating Nigeria's interest to host AFCON 2015 in the eventuality Morocco fail to do so.
"There is no chance of it happening for now as we are going to have the general elections around same time as the tournament," the source said.
"Yes we are Ebola free but security wise it's not ideal to host the cup of nations in same months as our general elections."
Morocco, hosts of next year's Africa soccer fiesta, have sort for it to be postponed from it's scheduled date to later in the year due to the Ebola virus currently ravaging West Africa.
