this world is so amazing most times. why do countries national football teams take after the names of wild animals,both the males and their female counterparts. e.g the super eagles of nigeria teranga lions of senegal,the elephants of cote id ivore, the super falcons of nigeria etc.please i really want to know.

Animals symbolize natural strength which always leaves humans in awe. Same way very strong men are called "Lion", "Gorrila" or "beast". Just the names alone inspire fear in opponents.
