Who or which bible doctrine says one must pick a spouse from the same local assembly where he or she worships? I hear there are even some churches where the pastor preaches against and even discourages his members who finds a spouse outside his local assembly from going ahead with the relationship.

I know some ladies who are still single because the first thing they tell any man who approaches them is for him to join her church. Biko can someone explain the meaning of such things.
