Car specialists in the house, I've searched cartalk and haven't seen a topic related to this hence me creating one to help those that own trucks and those aspiring to own trucks. It will also be a one stop center for all trucks and trailers/articulated vehicles related issues. My uncle recently bought a 2003 or there about MY Mercedes-Benz atego 1828 truck for transporting drinks for a brewery in the south south area in nigeria. And we've been having series of issues which are basically electrical. So please I need contributions thanks.

Your post is way too vague to respond to, with any degree of accuracy.

What exactly are you asking?? Please be specific. "Series of electrical issues" could mean well over 1,000 issues, ranging from a blown cigarette lighter fuse to a short circuit that caused an electrical fire behind the dash.

With such a vague post, we might as well consult a Sangoma.

Sorry Mr siena for my vague I never intended it that way, originally what I wanted was just Contributions of different truck owners and specialists to talk about trucks. As for your questions our truck started with one
1. A blown cigarette lighter fuse.
2. Wipers stopped working.
3. Balloons (I guess the air suspension) all four bursted one after the other(though expected because it's tokunbor)
4. Tail gate or board (don't know the right name) which uses hydraulic failed (we had to remove it to weld a door with hinges and bolts)
5. Engine just went off whole in moving though we've been noticing slow movement as a result misfire and my mechanic did manual troubleshooting and discovered a bad sensor around the gearbox area which made the truck start.
6. Now as I write the truck can't go beyond 40kmh.
Note: we've been buying diesel fuel from filling stations, the only cannibalisation is the removal of the tail board. And please what kind of scanner would you advise I go for? The truck manual is in Dutch and deutsch and OSD is same so whatever information it's giving I can't interpret because I don't understand the languages. I hope I'm not vague this time, thanks in anticipating your favourable responses
