Cristiano Ronaldo was the big winner at the sixth Professional Football League (LFP) Awards gala, garnering three accolades (Best Player, Best Goal and Best Forward). "A hat-trick of prizes on a lovely night", the Portuguese ace remarked.

It was a wildly successful evening for Real Madrid as a whole. Leaving aside CR7's triple glory, Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos claimed the gongs for Best Midfielder and Best Defender respectively. Keylor Navas took home the Best Goalkeeper award, although this came in recognition of his exploits for Levante.

Barcelona celebrated three victories, although only one of the players concerned was at the club last season. Andrés Iniesta was named Best Attacking Midfielder, while Ivan Rakitic and Rafinha - respectively signed from Sevilla and recalled from a loan spell at Celta this summer – captured the Fair Play and Breakthrough Player prizes.

Despite their historic title success, Atlético's sole winner was coach Diego Simeone. Meanwhile, Sevilla star Carlos Bacca and former Granada forward Yacine Brahimi were honoured in the Best South American Player and Best African Player categories. SOURCE: Marca.
