Nigeria Escapes FIFA Ban by Moustache: 1:12pm On Oct 30, 2014
Nigeria have beaten the deadline set by FIFA to vacate the court case instituted by Chris Giwa, after the factional President withdrew the case on Thursday afternoon.
The world football governing body warned Nigeria that if the case isn't vacated by Friday, Nigeria would be banned from all football activities.
Today at the High Court sitting in Jos, the case was called to be heard but Giwa stood up to inform the court he no longer wished to continue the case.
That lead to the judge striking out the case and saving Nigeria from FIFA's hammer.
Factional president of the NFF ,Chris Giwa, was persuaded upon by President Goodluck Jonathan during a meeting with the other NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, on Tuesday night to withdraw the court case.
SL10.ng gathered that Giwa might be compensated by the Amaju Pinnick led-board, what is yet to be known is how much he will be compensated.http://www.sl10.ng/news/articles/categories/nigeria-1/nigeria-escapes-lengthy-ban-from-fifa/190594
