The Super Eagles of Nigeria will battle against the Black Stars of Ghana, as president Goodluck Jonathan opens Uyo Stadium November 7

Ghana will face African champions, Nigeria  in an international friendly on 7 November.

The game, which will be played in Uyo, will be used to officially open the newly built Akwa Ibom International Stadium.

The 30,000 seating capacity stadium which looks very much like the Soccer City in Johannesburg, South Africa is second to none in the West African sub-region.

Nigeria last met Ghana in a competitive game in the semifinals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) hosted by South Africa in January and the Black Stars ran away with a 4-1 victory after penalty shoot out. That game ended goalless in duration time.

However, unlike the clash in Bloemfontein, which was for home-based players only, the November 7 clash between the rivals will feature the full compliment of both sides national teams in an event, which will be laced with cultural dance, music and total entertainment.

Both countries will be using the game as part of preparations for their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier against Uganda and Congo respectively.

The Black Stars currently sit in first place of 2015 Afcon qualifying above Togo, Uganda and Guinea.

Ghana was powerhouse when footballers played bare footed.

That should tell you something.

Since 2006 Nigeria has never won a game against Ghana. Nigeria has not even been to Quarter finals of world cup before but they went to world cup before Ghana. Why undecided undecided undecided

In 2014 world cup, 5 African teams represented the continent, two did well by qualifying from the group stage, one was unlucky not to have qualified while a team with black slogan abi na nick name paraded nitwits whose aim was to rebel and demand compensation for game not yet played. Your country and cameroun really disgraced mama Africa.

Not more the super eagles. My team gave the best performance by an african country despite not making it pass the group stages. If we had your weak group. We would have moved on without biase from the ref.

You lie with pride, you drunk!

How did you arrive at conclusion that the Ghanaian team was the best African side at the last world cup?

Take a poll and ask any african their favorite african team during the world cup and who what team was the best and more than 50% will say Ghana but we were unlucky.

I did my own poll. I play soccer with africans from many nationalities on Tuesdays and Saturday. We had argument about the best african team and the best performing team in africa. More than 50% choose Ghana, the only country that came close to ghana was algeria.

Mind u I was the only ghanaian, majority were liberian, ethiopians and sierra leoneans

Nigeria played 4 and conceded 5 and scored miserable 3 goals. I told u yor strikers can't score. You even had Iran and bosnia arguably the two weakest teams.
