It was another good week for Premier League leaders Chelsea, who won a hard-fought battle against west London rivals Queens Park Rangers while some of the other title contenders dropped points.

Southampton continued their strong start to the season with a win over Hull City, and surging Newcastle United grabbed their biggest scalp of the season so far, edging Liverpool 1-0. Arsenal gained three important points against Burnley, while West Ham United couldn’t get past Stoke City.
