Taking the cumbersome nature of gaining university admission (Federal Uni. for that matter) into consideration, can anyone ever wish to forgo any course 'given' even when it's not what you initially applied for?

Im about becoming a victim of 'wrong-choice' and i need cleared minds to dearly advise me on this.

I just completed my National Diploma programme in Mass Comm and with the glory of God, Ilorin offered me admission to study linguistics, a course against my will! I applied to study for Law!

Now im bored with series of thoughts! Dont knw if i should go for the offer or i forfeit it to wait for next year's admission excercise. Reason being that, taking a look at the possible area of practice after the programme and the labour market as a whole, is there any precise field one can profitably channel the knwlege into? Im in deep thought of this. I need YOU to sincerely advice.

Note: I have only 6days to make or mar this admission offer. Pls ur advice.

Write another jamb and apply for ur desired course.

Accept the offer and prepare for another UTME and PUTME.

I appreciate every advice given. However, i'd be magnanimous enough to entertain any contrary view.

@op,If u know dat d God dat did dis for u is still much alive. then,i'll advice u to forfeit d admission and go for a sound extra-moral lesson in ur domain prepare very hard with ur prefered course next year. Thank me later
