From my own point of view.... it's not a bad idea...it will help alot.. but I'm worried about the retailers... they say there is no gain selling 100 naira recharge card and here comes the 10 Naira cards...how will they profit from this self-idea?

At least you can use it for text message and flash, and if this means of communications its made to a reasonable/understanding person, be rest assured your demand/assistance will be met because its enough to give clear communication, and don't forget some people still borrow phone just to make one minute call.

I can't imagine wanting to subscribe for BIS #1,000 and the vendor tells me its only #10 denomination they have.... Oh my Guns! that means am going to load 100 cards b4 getting to 1K, the BIS would have expired again b4 den or rapture would have taken place.

========================

It will be very useful to some broke guys thou.

Just remembered what one guy told muah back then when we were still in sec schl.

"bros abeg transfer ₦51 to me make I transfer ₦50 back to you, I just recharge my phone with ₦100 to buy 10mb and MTN removed 1kb. The money remain ₦99.99 now.

So ₦10 recharge card is like a dream come true to some naija people.

THUNDER FIRE POVERTY.
Is that the last best that MTN could think of, in other to help aleviate poverty in this Country. MTN are just insulting Nigerians. That airtime is just for flashing. And what if one want to borrow the N10 air tym, how much will they charge for their service ?

Are u having problem digesting wat MTN said abt the initiative? Didn't u read the initiative was directed at ordinary people who might nt be able to regularly afford the minimum N100 recharge?

Can u be more analytical than MTN business developers?! Or don't u knw the idea was to give the people the power to recharge in multiple of 10, as against the multiple of 100?. Now people can decide to buy N30 or N40 or N60 or N70 airtime, as against buyin N100 or N200 or N300 airtime.

If u can't imagine urself goin to ask for MTN N10, then try imagine the time you used to drink garri when nothin was at home!
lolz.. Its a welcome development. But I think its jst too small. N50 would have heen just fine.
Anyways its another business strategy to get more customers. Its kinda funny though.

LOL of what use will it be? this is silly!
I could remember when I tried to make a call with #38, and I couldn't. all I heard was "your account is too low for this call please recharge your line". compare that with recharging #10 lmao its absurd....unless they decide to reduce their tariff and that's another story entirely for the gods.

To buy #100 sef dey shame me,muchmore #10.

What's the need of #10 naira recharge,is it to send sms,or what..or just to call, and say hello, and next thing to hear is "your account is getting low,try to recharge as soon as possible".

#10 ko,#5 ni.

And you know the bolded is still being deducted from your credit. So more or less, before they finish saying that, they've taken N8 on thier own out of the N10.
