CAF Continues Search for Host as Angola Says No.

Angola announced on Wednesday it was not interested in replacing Morocco as eleventh hour hosts of the crisis-hit 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Angola's decision leaves three potential candidates - Egypt, Gabon and Nigeria - to put on the continental showcase.
Morocco was stripped of the right to host it after insisting on a postponement, citing the Ebola epidemic as the reason for pulling out.
Morocco's stance irked organisers the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The federation's president, Issa Hayatou, told France24: "To postpone the Africa Cup of Nations would be like stopping African football dead."

"Once you postpone this event, it will open the door for everybody to ask for a delay of any competition and we will no longer be credible," added the 68-year-old Cameroonian who has been in office since 1988.
Angola had emerged as one of the front runners to come to the aid of the troubled 2015 Nations Cup which is due to start in two months time, on January 17.

Nigeria is often regarded as the Giant of Africa. And has on several occasion rose up to save the continent. In the past Nigeria has fought for freedom in economics, politics, health, and even for sports.

In the current scenario Morocco has been disqualified from hosting. The AFCON 2015 due to EBOLA related case.
Other countries who could host like South Africa and Ghana has all decline.
Even the most recently touted countries to step up Angola and Gabon has also decline.
Thus leaving maybe NIGERIA and EGYPT to bail the continent
Therefore the question “Should Nigeria Host the AFCON 2015?

Since Nigeria is the supposed giant of Africa now is the time to show up

1. The country has the much needed facilities: stadiums and hotels. Especially with the new addition Uyo stadium.

2. The experience of having hosted the nations cup and junior world cup in the past

3. Also having successfully contained the much dreaded ebola.

Thus having the experience to a) screen all visitors b) quarantine suspected cases C) possibly handle real cases

I would have love Nigeria to host it but I don't think Nigeria is capable of hosting it now due to lack of security in Nigeria. The event will be a target for boko haram bomb blast. We are not ready for hosting the nation cup

when it comes to hosting of occasions i tink we can bet on our security agencies for protection. Even if the match is taking to sambisa no bokoharam can match our security agents when it comes to the big party
