Tuface Idibia Tops 20 Most Loved Nigerian Musical Artistes by Kagawa: 6:15pm On Nov 14, 2014
In the bid to explore current trends in the music industry, a survey by NOIPolls asked respondents who their favorite Nigerian Musician was. Findings revealed that ‘Tuface’ topped the chart as the most liked Musician with 13% fan base. Although Nigerians are more inclined to Religious music, this has not affected their judgment of favorite musicians.

Results are not surprising when considering Tuface’s talent and hard work as evidenced by several national (Nigerian Music Awards) and international awards (MTV Europe Music Award, World Music Award, etc.) that he has received. His most recent award nomination was for the Best Live Act at the 2014 MTV Music Africa Awards.

The next three musicians liked by Nigerians were;

‘Davido’ (7%) who is mostly liked by Nigerians aged 18-21 years (10%);
‘Frank Edwards’ (6%) mostly liked by Nigerians aged 22-29 years (10%) and
'Wizkid’ (5%) who is mostly liked by respondents aged 18-21 years (20%).

20. Sinach


Gospel singer 'Sinach' Osinachi Kalu a native of Ebonyi state Nigeria is an award winning musical artist who has written over 200 songs. She is also a member of Believer's love world 'Music Team of Christ'. Sinach has over 400,000 fans on a verified Facebook page and about 45,000 fans on twitter. Bless the lord, I know who I am and You are the same are some of her best tracks.
19. Solomon Lange


Solomon Lange is a gospel artiste, songwriter, passionate and anointed minister of the gospel. Born and raised in Kaduna State, Nigeria, Lange has shared stage with artistes like Donnie McClurkin, Ron Kenoly, Lenny Leblank, Judy Jacobs, and many more. He has over 200,000 fans on Facebook and 8,000 on twitter. His best tracks include God is good, Nagode, Yabo.

Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson also known as Phyno 'Phenomenal' is s a Nigerian rapper and record producer. Born and raised in Enugu State. The rap artiste of the year 2014 has over 147,000 followers on twitter. His hit songs are Alobam, Ghostmode and Parcel.

Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo aka D'banj, is a singer-songwriter, harmonica player, and businessman from Ogun State. He has won several awards. Some of his best songs include Suddenly, Fall in Love, Oliver Twist. Dapo has over 1million fans on Facebook and over 900,000 on twitter.

Late Alhaji (Dr) Mamman Shata was born Katsina, Nigeria. He is a well-known Hausa griot/musician, his vocals are often accompanied by talking drums, known as kalangu. Shata was famed to have sung for every topic under the Hausa land's sun: Agriculture, Culture, Religion, Economy, Politics, Military, etc. Shata was awarded honorary doctorate degree by Ahmadu Bello University in recognition of his contributions to Hausa literature.
