Would there really be any need for any one to disown his/her parents? Something shocking happened few days back that prompted this question. A lady seriously ill and hospitalised was told by the doctors that she is fine but the Sickness Persisted!
After Prayers, it was found out that it was her mum who was responsible for her predicament. When this Lady got to question her mum, she gathered that the reason she was sick and might die is b/c d Husband did not Pay her Bride Price and she (the mum) was angry about it. Even after receivin clothes, cash and other things from d Son-In-law.

The Lady had to disown her mum cos of this.

Any other reason why a Parent should be disowned?

Am really sorry for the lady. Some parents can be that wicked, but no matter what your parent did to you, it is not a nice idea to disown them!
If not for them, how would you have come into this world?
No matter what they did, they are still your parents (mum or dad) and you cannot change that fact. Remember, blood is thicker thand water.

So disowning ones parents is just like denying the truth. If you disown them, so you'll adopt another mother/father abi?

I know it's not easy for the Lady because it involved her life, but disowning her own mum sounds ironical.
