The majority of Nigerians dream about living in Lagos and Abuja. But they are the most expensive cities in Nigeria.
There are plenty of cities which can offer you, not just lower cost of living but to provide political stability and low cost housing. You find there countless opportunities for investment and to earn money as well.

2. Aba
Aba is situated in Abia State. It is known for its peaceful area and cheap and nice housing. Major areas of economics there are: textiles, plastics, cement, and cosmetics. This city has the largest market in West Africa. Food is very cheap there due to a lot of villages and farms around the town.

3. Ibadan
Ibadan is an ancient city, but it managed to adapt to modernization at its best. Prices here are much more lower than in Lagos or other major cities. The city has the bright nightlife, and cheap housing and great public transport.

4. Ikom
Ikom is more like a town than a city, but it has a list of great touristic attractions like Nigeria’s Stonehenge called Ikom Monoliths, Afi rain forest, Ikom town beach and Agbokim Waterfall. Fresh and cheap food can be found here easily, as well as cheap housing and peaceful environment.

Alongside cheap prices, this city is also blessed with great educational opportunities, natural resources, historical relics and health facilities. It is a great area for business and investments as well.

Onitsha is a great city for family living. It is located in Anambra State. You can find a low-cost of living and cheap housing there. Public transport is nicely developed there as well.

Ile Ife is a city in Osun State. There is a famous Natural History Museum of Nigeria and the Obafemi Awolowo University. You can find some great business opportunities there as well. The cost of living is rather cheap too.

Zaria is a city in Northern Nigeria. Formerly it was known as Zazzu. There situate the largest University in Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University. Some other famous schools are there as well. This city is very quiet, full of interesting culture and low prices.

Makurdi is a capital of Benue State. Cost of living is surprisingly low as well as property prizes. The infrastructure and local economy are pretty developed there.

Abeokuta is a one more cheap State capital. You can find low-cost of living, cheap housing, quality educational facilities and modern amenities there. So you can easily spend less and make more there.

E dey do me like na Umuahia sef...Lagos street.

Ikom is really cheap,but definitely not accommodation, same with Aba. Depends on your definition of cheap though.

The only thing I consider cheap in those two places @Ikom/Aba is food/transport.

Ilorin should be the best because when I served there I do charter cab for 4k for a whole day.
