Drunk Police Officer Shot A Driver Because Of N50 Bribe. by ediko5(m): 12:08pm On Nov 18, 2014
On 11 November 2014, a bus driver by name Umaru Bayi who was coming from Jos to Lagos was shot by a drunk Police officer.
The incident took place when a federal highway patrol team stopped the driver and demanded for fifty Naira (N50)and when the driver refused to pay the N50, the police ordered everyone inside the bus to come down for them to conduct a thorough search on the bus and thereafter check the bus particulars.

It was after the policemen have checked the particulars that they insisted that the driver must pay them the N50 and for the driver not to waste further time, he removed N1,000 note and gave to them to give him change which the police did not have and the policeman who demanded the money saw it as an insult to the police for the driver t ask them to look for change and immediately set his riffle and shot the bus driver in his pelvic.

The policemen entered their van and ran away having noticed that one of them have shot the driver.

The bus driver is currently undergoing treatment at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan
