WHO/WHAT IS AN ACTUARY?
Actuaries are trained professionals that draw on the theory of risk and probability together with the theory of finance to create solutions to problems of financial insecurity or vulnerabilities. You will find actuaries behind insurance, pension, social security, environmental liabilities, financial engineering, risk management, and so on.
