Cech, 32, has spent the majority of the season playing
second fiddle to new Blues keeper Thibaut Courtois, who
returned to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer after three
seasons on loan with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
Several publications have suggested the Czech international is unhappy with his current situation at the
club, and he has been repeatedly linked with a move away
from west London in recent weeks.
According to reports, Chelsea's Premier League rivals
Arsenal are interested in snapping up the former Rennes
star, who joined the Blues in 2004.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is eager to strengthen his options between the sticks in January, and is allegedly
willing to offer Chelsea £7m to acquire Cech's services.
It's believed Wenger has already held talks with the Blues, and according to some reports, has agreed a deal to
sign the veteran goalkeeper in January.
The news of Wenger's deal for Cech could cast major doubt
over the future of current Gunners keeper Wojciech Szczesny - as the Blues star would more than likely only
move to the Emirates if he was guaranteed a place in the
starting 11.
