Nairalanders In Akure, How Is The Place? by Okpuzu01(m): 6:54am On Nov 21, 2014
Good morning. I just got a job in Akure and will be relocating there from the east anytime from now. Nairalanders over there, how is the town? The people, transportation, electricity, nightlife, house rent etc. I will be renting a one bedroom flat and how much shuld I budget for that? How is the initial house rent paid there? Is it one year or two years rent? Please you can add anyother thing you think might be helpful to me. Thanks

Well, from my own sojourn here in Akure, it's a nice easy place to live, the people are also easy going, transport is relatively cheap, not much of nightlife but you can still get your groove on if you have your personal car. Electricity, lately has been epileptic which is not usually the case and I don't know much about house rent. All in all, Akure is a nice place to live. Welcome.
