Former president, olusegun Obasanjo said yesterday after collecting his Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) that he wants God to grant him 10 more years alive so he can outlive the card which is valid for 10 years.

"My prayer to God is for him to please let me outlast this card."
"This means that if I outlast this card, I can be smiling. But then, it is only the grace of God."

Back in March this year, during a ceremony organised for his 77th birthday in Abeokuta, Obasanjo said,

"There are those of us like me who have no real record of birth. I want to thank God once again for what He has done in my life. Whether I know the exact date of my birth or not, I think God has made my path glorious."
