The Hefty man:

"Karma they say is bound, no matter how fast and smart you think you are... It just happens, getting paid back by your own deeds in your own coin, sometimes it hurts... at times its fun, only for the saints though. You never think twice, you just do it...karma never pity too, it just pays back. No matter how conscious you are at every state, you just can't help some actions while you ignore the consequences."

Chief Sanjo just got back from the elders' meeting, he's in charge of the decision making for the community, all other chiefs even the king wants to be like him, strange huh?... He started his political career in Abuja and it was really worth his while, its a cliche to tell you what a politician holding a seat in the government house does, Chief Sanjo did away with all he could and went back to a remote community in Akure which happened to be where he hailed from. He was made chief based on his political cv and also with his connection was able to siphon government money in to the running of the community, main reason why he's respected.

Since he quit politics 5 years ago, he has been living in Akure like a king, his three daughters and wife have been more than comfortable. He has his mansion surrounded by guards assigned to him by the King himself, nothing could ever go wrong.

Chief Sanjo leaned on his leather sofa staring at the large screen tv hung on the wall, he called out to his first daughter who was heavily pregnant for the son of the Ekiti governor, "...daddy you know am pregnant now...why can't you just call Asake.." She muttered as she walked towards her father with a tray carrying a covered plate, "..don't you know you are going to bore me my first grand child, grand son to be precise and the sight of you alone makes me proud and happy..." He said laughing as he assisted her in emptying the tray on the table.

Minutes passed and the food had been ebbed in to his pot belly, he licked each finger before washing in a green bowl and dried his hands with a napkin placed beside him, he stood up and called Asake the maid to come and get the table cleared and pass the usual instruction of not being available for any visits, she knelt continuously nodding her head in comprehension while Chief Sanjo slowly walked up the stairs to his room to take his routine nap.

Chief Sanjo opened his eyes all of sudden like he was having a nightmare, he sat up on his bed sweating furiously, he obviously had a nightmare. He noticed the unusual, total darkness, which happens rarely when the generator is faulty, "..but the gen is not faulty now...pshhw.." He grumbled as he staggered up rubbing his tummy while he groped for his torch light which is often place on the bed side stool, the torch was meant to substitute the light whenever his wife sleeps in his room, she complains about Sanjo turning on the lights when ever he needs to go to the toilet, so he got the torch to satisfy his loving wife.

He turned the torch on but could barely see as the torch's light couldn't travel far, he called out to the maid but there was absolute silence, he got angry and called out to his first daughter but silence was all that responded. Chief Sanjo saw the front door opened which was very unusual, his anger quickly turned to fear when there was a sudden knock upstairs, it sounded like it came from his wife's bedroom, "where is everybody..?", he thought to himself aloud.

He decided to go to his wife's bedroom as he proceeded to the stairs, he placed his first foot on the first step but something caught his attention, it came from beneath the stairs, it sounded like someone was finding it difficult to breathe, "who's there??..." He shouted but the panting continued, he shone his torch and saw his wife struggling to breathe, her throat had been deeply slit with blood all over the place, he quickly rushed to her kneeling beside her, the blood was so much he knew she wouldn't survive it, he screamed for help but only crickets could respond, suddenly one of his daughters screamed.....

The scream came from upstairs and it was a scream for help, Sanjo dashed upstairs calling his daughters names with the torch in his shivering hand, he opened the door and found his 15 year old daughter's head detached and tied to a ceiling fan which was manually set to roll, it was obvious she was hacked several times on the neck to separate her head, chunk of meat dangled with blood dripping as the head rolled with the fan blades. Her body laid lifeless on a rug soaked in blood leaving Sanjo devastated, he didn't know what to do, "who is here...show your self..." He shouted.

There was a sudden struggle down in the sitting room, Sanjo got on his heels to the sitting room's direction hoping he'll get hold of who ever is on the killing spree...but Sanjo was too late, his first daughter had been cut to pieces like one devoured by a beast, he saw her matured foetus, his grand son on the table with the umbilical cord attached to it and the mother whose stomach was widely opened, there was a spade comfortably sitting in her mouth which separated her jaw from the rest of her head, it was a gory sight he couldn't stand, he got on his knees and began to cry shouting for help, suddenly there was a hard hit on his head and there was total black out for chief Sanjo.

The knock on the wooden ground from a solid sole, the crashing leaves as a result of the mild wind and the croaking sound of matured frogs made it clear that Chief Sanjo was far from home, he knew it where he was seated after regaining his consciousness, he couldn't call for help because his mouth was well tightened with a thick sock that reeks. He looks around and catches glimpse of his last daughter, Simi is 12 years old and the jovial one of all chief's Sanjo's daughters, he tried calling out to her but it was of no use, she was unconscious and his mouth was tied. A six feet tall lanky man walked in front of him wit a bucket, he was wearing a hoodie to cover up his face, the lantern he placed at the centre of the wooden house wasn't bright enough to reveal the murderer.

He walked towards Simi where she sat unconsciously, tied to a wooden chair with her mouth tightly veiled with a sock too...suddenly the hefty man splashed some liquid contained by the bucket on her face which apparently wasn't water, she woke up at once and screamed but it was all a hum with the sock concealing the actual scream , there were flies buzzing and perching all over as the odour of the liquid took over the whole room. The hefty man walked to a table at the corner of the room and pulled out a daga from a sack, chief Sanjo became uneasy because he needed no future teller to tell him what the daga was meant for, all Sanjo could do was hum as tears poured down his eyes.

Just when Chief Sanjo thought his life was fulfilled and perfect, his source of happiness was taken one after the other, and the last of his connection, the last of his offspring was about to be massacred like the previous. He watched the hefty man slowly approach his daughter, he watched the hefty man squat in front of his daughter while he slowly points the daga towards her eyes, Simi closed her eyes in fear but she hummed in excruciating pain when the daga pierced in to her left eye as blood squirted out, Sanjo couldn't take it anymore as he shook his chair in anger and pity for his daughter but that was the best he could do.

The hefty man removed the pointed daga from Simi's eyes along with her pupil and some veins that attached the eye to the brain, he dropped it and kicked it towards chief Sanjo, the scenario was unbearable one for chief as he just sat breathing heavily with tears rolling down his eyes with his boxer shorts dripping off liquid which appeared to be urine.

The hefty man all of a sudden hacked Simi's tummy pulling out her intestine with the daga, he slit her throat immediately and turned to Chief Sanjo who at this time had his heart in his mouth....

I can never forget your ghost story; it felt real and perhaps who knows if ghosts feel better when their loved ones pray for them. Who knows if some people's behaviour is caused by some ghosts and they are taken to be insane? grin

Knock knock!!!

...The six feet tall killer approached Chief Sanjo slowly with the daga in his hand, his daughter's blood trickled down the daga like it was the one with the cut, he reached for his pocket like he wanted to strike a pose for a photo shoot but instead he came out with a picture. The hefty man stared at the picture then displayed it in front of chief Sanjo, he held the picture for seconds close to Sanjo's eyes for comprehension.

There was a sudden change of expression on Chief Sanjo's face, from fear and anxiety to disbelief then anger, he moved in discomfort but he was well under control with the ropes tied around him.

The hefty man slowly returned the picture into his pocket and calmly raised his blood thirsty daga, he slashed Sanjo's tummy and removed the sock covering his mouth, he stuffed his hand in to Sanjo's wide open tummy and pulled out his intestine, Sanjo's breath began to fail as he couldn't bear the pain of seeing his own intestine pulled out while he's still alive..."...you don't have a heart..." Sanjo said in pain with the series of last breath left in him..."You shot it..." Hefty replied as he walked away, out of the wooden house built in the middle of a jungle...he struck a match and threw it at the door step and in seconds, the house was on fire...hefty walked into the dusky night with his daga in the sack...

Its dawn and Chief Sanjo's house is filled with gallivanting police men, scrutinising and analysing the crime scene, the guards who were supposed to be on duty had been arrested but excuses was all they could give for leaving their duty post. Only one was left to narrate the story, Asake, she was found in the visitors' room hanging from a ceiling fan up side down with her mouth tied... Trauma made her quiet as she is consciously unconscious, just staring at the officer who is trying to get her to talk, "..this is serious ooo..." An officer said staring at Chief Sanjo's wife under the stare case, her neck was already swollen like it would burst any second, the police had nothing to start with but they had to create an impression.

" ...but how come you can't find him..and his last daughter..?" A senior officer asked the inspector in front of him, "...they were not in the house sir, all we found were dead bodies...the assailant must be real good, he left no trail of any sort...and the guards were just stupid enough to fall for his trick, one of them said he had been conversing with a friend on facebook and that night all the guards were given a prostitute free at the motel, all expenses paid...quickly I went on line but the account had been deleted, no name, no identity, nothing. I also went to the motel to ask for the person who paid all the expenses but they said he's just a customer who never comes in the day except at night, they said he's about six feet and always has a hoddie on, so it was hard to see his face talkless recognising him..I have a feeling the killer must have been around for a while...he played smart..." The inspector narrated to his superior...

It made the papers and the news that the one time house of representative speaker's family was gruesomly murdered while he is missing, the maid was of no use as she appeared to have lost her memory. The public claimed it had some political intonation while some stroke a pose of not being concerned.

Chinelo is ten years old, daughter of a political party chairman, her mother is her father's second wife but happiness still rains in their home. Its a friday night and the down pour is so intense that Chinelo had to go into her mother's bedroom to sleep, "mummy am scared..." She whispered to her 35 year old mother, "don't worry...its just the rain..". Her mother replied as she tries to make use of the cool weather with her huge vibrator under her blanket, she couldn't wait for her little angel to go to sleep so she could put her vibrator to work since her husband has been away for days, "..mummy there is a man standing outside my window" little chinelo said shivering but mummy knows that little children's fears comes to life when they are scared.

Nnenna got in to marriage for money which was so obvious and it was the talk of the town but she never bothered, she always says "...love dey die when poverty enter...", she got married at age 25 after her youth service to senator Nwachukwu who already had grown up children who were older than she was. Nnenna not only play with her intimacy gadgets, she also invitd younger guys home taking the advantage of her busy husband, "so long my account no dry...I love am if him dey house..." She says to her concubines.

She stays in her bought apartment which is the handy work of the senator, she fought to stay alone with her daughter without an aid, not even a gate man, needless to say the reason for such decision.

Her phone rang as the thunder clapped with the lightening following afterwards, it was her busy husband, she murmured as she swiped the screen with her thumb, quickly she wore a smile on her face "hey baby, where are you now...nawa ooo..." Her fake smile became real when her husband told her he won't be around for some days as he is in Akure for a colleague's burial who passed away two weeks ago, all she could think of was Segun her sex partner.

The rain got heavier which in turn knocked out the power and her mmobile network, she couldn't go outside to get the power generator on so she decided to get her rechargable lamp from the sitting room, she used the light illuminating from her screen as her source of light, suddenly she heard and saw the handle of her door shake forcefully shaking, quickly she threw her phone in her pocket so as not to alert the stranger she was awake. The door knob stopped shaking but the lighting from the intense rain could help her see a man's reflection walking close to the window, he was wearing a raincoat which made tiny knocks from the drops of the rain, the stranger walked slowly around the house and it looked like he was headed for the kitchen in which Nnenna usually forgets to lock.....

The cheat and the unknown

"You never know when the ripper will come..and after the once in a lifetime visit, will it accord pity or otherwise when he's gone... Like they say, act like you'll die...NOW!!!"

Nnenna approached the kitchen terrified with a mopping stick in her hand as her only weapon of defence, the stranger stopped at the kitchen entrance and slowly opened the door, Nnenna lifted her mopping stick high up so she could hit hard.

The stranger opened the door and stepped in but Nnenna welcomed him with a hard hit on his head with her thin mopping stick, "hey...!!!" Segun screamed holding his head, "kai...you wan wound me....". He said removing his rubber rain coat, "I just wanted to scare you now.." He said, " and I scared you..." Nnenna replied...." You know I was born ready now.." She said walking slowly towards Segun and loosening the belt to her night gown, "and talking about being ready...am so ready for you tonight". She whispered as she kissed Segun's lips, Segun succumbed raising her night gown up without no pant to pull, they both kissed roughly navigating to the sitting room... and as always Nnenna forgot to lock the kitchen door....there was a bright lighting which illuminated Hefty standing at the kitchen entrance and a rumbling thunder followed.

Nnenna couldn't wait to get rough handled by her short but strong sex partner, quickly she threw her night gown on the tv and opened her legs for Segun who was busy taking off his boxer short. In no time the leather began to rumble, Nnenna couldn't keep quiet same as the growling sound of the thunder.

The lightening lit the sitting room every second but the sex fantasy had taken the illegal couple to place of their dreams, they did not notice hefty standing behind them watching their hideous act...suddenly Nnenna screamed at the sight of the 6 feet tall giant. Hefty wasted no time in hitting Segun hard on his head which made him pass out immediately, Nnenna quickly jumped up so she could escape but she couldn't go far with the help of hefty's strong hand, he held her neck tightly while he pulled out his daga from his back sack....

Nnenna's scream was swallowed by the grumbling thunder which made it obvious no help was coming, hefty hit her head hard on the ground and decided to take her life without his daga, he raised his right foot and stomped Nnenna on the face with his iron sole boot, he stomped her face again and again, it became continuous and stronger as he breathed heavily mashing her face till all the bones that made her face were crushed, her brains washed out like a cup of melted iron from her broken skull.....hefty went into Nnenna's bedroom and all that played next was little Chinelo's scream.

Senator Nwachukwu's phone rang continuously on the bedside stool, he groped right and left with his face still on the pillow, he was so tired as a result of his hectic journey from Abuja to Porthacort and back to Akure for his colleague's family burial while his friend was declared missing....but good friends stay till the end so is Nwachukwu's belief.

He reluctantly picked the call without knowing who was on the line, but the caller was mute after he muttered hello repeatedly, Nwachukwu dropped the call venturing in to phase two of his sleep but it was immediately cut short by a knock on the door....he gaze at the clock and saw it was 2:00am in the morning, "who is that" he courageously asked but there was no answer.

His heart began to beat after remembering the incident that brought him to Akure and the fact that the killer is still on the loose, he reached for his phone immediately to summon his security guards but the knock got harder...the lights in the room went off leaving him Nwachukwu in darkness ......

The lights came on again, this calmed Nwachukwu "may be phcn carry light" he thought, locked at the door again while he dialled a number on his phone, he got close to the door and asked who it was again and a solemn reply responded, "its me sir"....it was Chidi, senator Nwachukwu's senior security operative, the senator opened the door and Chidi walked in, " sorry for the disturbance sir but it can't wait till dawn...sir the police said they found the missing chief and his daughter, they were burnt but not beyond recognition, I learnt they were found in a wooden house built in a bush just on the outskirt of the state by hunters who noticed a car parked on the main road with its doors opened...I felt it was political so am here to do my job sir, to stay with you till we leave since the perpetrator hasn't been caught....".

The senator was stunned at the sad news his security aid broke to him, he took some steps back and sat bu the edge of his bed, he looked at his phone to know who called him while he was asleep, "ahhh its Nnenna...hope there's no problem, why is she calling by this time..." He said to him said with a worn bothered look, he placed his phone on his ear and stared at Chidi as he put a call through to Nnenna.... The call was picked immediately but only silence was what Nwachukwu could hear, there was no response at all, all he noticed was someone breathing heavily....

The stressed tone from the phone indicated an ended call which got Nwachukwu a little worried, "its my second wife, she's not saying a word..I think something is wrong..." He lamented staring at Chidi, "I'll leave first thing tomorrow morning...I can't wait for the burial.." The senator concluded, "anything you say sir..." Chidi replied.

The Senator's convoy parked infront of his wife's house after the horn had gotten tired of honking, he told his guards to fetch his wife for him to express his anger...Chidi beckoned one his subordinates to accompany him.

Chidi felt uneasy as he could sense something wrong, he knocked the front door but there was no response so he decided to go through the back door. Chidi and his aid walked to the kitchen door and saw it wide opened, he pulled out his pistol as he called out "madam!!!", but still silence was all he got, he took every step like it was hurting the ground with his eyes wide opened and his index finger at alert on the trigger...

The buzz of flies welcomed the security agents to the sitting room which made Chidi cork his gun and cover his nose, the odour was so intense that Chidi's company had to go back outside to throw up...Chidi stood at the back of the sofa staring at the tv that hung Nnenna's night gown, he looked left and saw a man...

Chidi saw a naked man sitting on the bare ground with his back leaned on the wall, he made an attempt to get close to him but quickly got a glimpse of a naked woman laying on the floor who looked very much like madam....
Her squashed face had flies perching all over it which doesn't serve as a means of recognition at all, Chidi got closer to Segun's body which wasn't looking injured or attacked , Chidi tapped his hairy thigh with his black shinning shoe but Segun's only response was his body falling forward and his brains falling from the back of his head, Chidi stepped back and stared at the gory sight before him...Chidi's aid rushed in quickly after almost vomiting his intestine out as a result of the odour, at the sight of the dead bodies, he ran outside again with his hand covering his mouth...

Breaking the news to Nwachukwu wasn't really the problem but how to call the police which will definitely attract the media, how to get rid of the naked man in the siting room, how to convince people his wife wasn't cheating was another problem
