Rap in Nigeria has come a long way from the days where no one even thought about giving it a chance, much less becoming a relevant genre in the Nigerian Music industry today, Rap/hiphop is now becoming a mainstream genre accepted among the people in Nigeria.

There is now evidence that a good rapper who raps in English or his/her local dialect (or both) can be successful in the Nigerian Music industry, which wasn’t the case years ago.
