[b]The good news of Coach Keshi signing a new contract is refreshing. I think this new NFF body are serious and are ready to make things work now their problems are behind them.

It is important we kick off with a bang. The seriousness of the National Team should be shown on the pitch.

1. Indisciplined players should be dropped: Coach Keshi needs to be ruthless when it comes to dropping players. Mediocre performances should not be tolerated. Tactical indiscipline should not be tolerated. The issue of Onazi leaving the defenders unprotected in numerous occasions should be punished. This time, recklessness should not be tolerated. Onazi's wild shots takes away possession of our team and hands the ball back to the opposition.

Emenike on numerous occasions shoots the ball, instead of passing to a free player with a better chance to score. Things like that should stop. This indiscipline plays lead to tactical disorganization which was why our team struggled.

2. Players That Perform Well Should Start: The case of Sone Aluko and Aaron Samuel not starting against South Africa was one of the reasons we did not qualify for the AFCON tournament in Equitorial Guinea. These guys did well in the two games against Congo and Sudan. They should have been rewarded for exceptional performances. However, they were dropped on the bench.

This should be stopped.

3. Fitness Of The Head Coach: Many of the top Coaches are an embodiment of fitness. Some of them are not young men like our Coach. Look at Coach Arsene Wenger. He is trim and sharp looking. Look at Coach Manuel Pellegrini. Or the late Coach Bobby Robson. These men maintain their fitness and are able to transcend their psychology to their players.

4. Creativity Should be embraced: Our team is to bulky and rigid. I am okay with a rigid and bulky midfield. With Hope Akpan, Mikel and Raheem Lawal. However, from our attack to the defence is filled with so much Bulky players. From Emenike, Samuel, Salami, Osaguona, Egwekwe. It is too much. We need more creative players like Mfon Udoh, Iheanacho, Emem Eduok, Bobby Sokari, etc.

5. Modern Approach To Our Play: The World is moving towards the Tiki Taka philosophy. Even Coach Sam Allardyce who was the worse offender has gotten West Ham exchanging the ball between players fluidly. Most of the top clubs and National team play attractive possessive football. Look at most of the top coaches of the EPL. Pellegrini, Rodgers, Wenger, Koeman, Martinez, Pochettino, Van Gaal. They are all coaches with the modern philosophy. Also, their defenders are mostly fast like Mangala, Rojo, Alderweireld, Distin etc. We need this kind of modern approach to our games.

6. Wing Play: We need to utilize our wings more. I know most of our wing play comes from our wing backs. Mostly Oshaniwa and Ambrose. However, our strikers do not drop the ball regularly for the impact of our over lapping wing backs to be felt. Uche did this against South Africa (Although he misplaced passes and missed combinations), he worked with Oshaniwa. That is why Oshaniwa's presence was felt. We need our strikers dropping the balls for the wing backs when they overlap. We need a right back that can cross the ball with ease. We also need strikers that can inter play with the wingers.

I hope we see a massive improvement in our play and results soon. The Super Eagles fans need reasons to celebrate and wipe out the bad memory of not qualifying for the AFCON. Congrats again to the Big Boss and His crew.
