I issued a statement to all Chelsea fan earlier that the worst place to play is stadium of light for any top 4 club.. The black cat are very dangerous when playing at home , the citizens should be wary of this black cat .. The golden rule is to rattle them with goals in tbe early kick off in order to weak their moral.. Match preview coming soon. 1 Like |

Manchester City side can go one better than title rivals Chelsea as they play Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday. Sunderland (2-8-3) held Chelsea to a goalless draw at home last weekend as they stopped the Premier League leaders from scoring for the first time in 20 matches across all competitions this season. Both sides were denied by the woodwork in the first half, with Black Cats defender Santiago Vergini hitting the crossbar and Blues midfielder Willian striking the foot of the post. Sunderland boss Gus Poyet was delighted by his team's performance against Chelsea, who had scored 30 goals in 12 league matches. "I'm very proud of today's result," Poyet told his club's official website. "You plan things and you train to convince the players of certain things, but the only real way to know if it works is by playing games against the best. "Today was the biggest challenge we had so far this season, so stopping Chelsea from scoring is a great reward for the players. It was a team effort and everyone worked well in their roles." Sunderland are unbeaten in four league matches (1-3-0) and have moved up to 13th place, three points clear of the relegation zone. City (8-3-2) leapfrogged Southampton into second place after beating the Saints 3-0 at St Mary's on Sunday despite having defender Eliaquim Mangala sent off for two yellow cards on 75 minutes. It was Citizens' third straight league victory, and the result reduced Chelsea's lead to six points. Yaya Toure gave City the lead early in the second half, and the defending English champions went on to score two late goals through Frank Lampard and Gael Clichy after being reduced to 10 men. "I am very pleased because we beat a very good team," City boss Pellegrini told his club's official website. "They were second in the table and they deserved that position because they play very well. "We beat them playing a very good game - not only in defending, though it was important to have a clean sheet again. We always try to win. Maybe we had two or three results that were not what we wanted but I am very glad to see the team playing the way they are now." Sunderland will be without injured trio Billy Jones (hamstring), Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle) and Patrick van Aanholt (shoulder). City skipper Vincent Kompany suffered a hamstring injury against the Saints and is doubtful for the trip to Sunderland, while France international Mangala is suspended after seeing red at St. Mary's. David Silva (knee), Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko (both calf) are all still sidelined. Sunderland's recent home record against Manchester City is excellent and they have won their last four league matches at the Stadium of Light by the same 1-0 scoreline. The teams drew 2-2 in last season's Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium. City beat Sunderland 3-1 in the League Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Mar. 2 as Pellegrini collected his first trophy as Citizens manager. Fabio Borini gave Sunderland a shock lead after 10 minutes before goals from Toure, Samir Nasri and Jesus Navas secured a deserved victory for the Mancunians. |

Kun Aguero getting deadly by the second. He cuts a figure of one player who might just be the top scorer this season in the EPL. 1 Like |
