2015, Our Forth Coming Nightmare. by Nobody: 10:23am On Dec 07, 2014
It is beginning to dawn on us that our so called "Leaders" are bound to lead us no where. The aforementioned promised land seems to far to reach. Now all we see and read around are "Manifestos" which are never "Manifested"

Corruption has eaten deep into us, and has become a name with which we are addressed worldwide. Almost every individual is vaying for a political office (if we all want to rule, then who would be ruled?) . Individuals with high profile criminal records, manipulated certificates, men who lack knowledge on how to take care of their homes all want to govern.

Insecurity has become a part of us with its name as Boko Haram. Which has been regarded by our security personnels as natural phenomenon, just as the memory of over 160 kidnapped girls have been flushed down the drain. Nigerians have so quickly forgotten the epidemical and catastrophical influence these kidnap had and still has in the lives of those affected parents. How painful it is when you know your daughter is out there, somewhere neither dead nor alive, how painful it is when you daughter who is supposed to be her hostel sleeping or probably in her class reading was whisked away into the unknown.

Even our armed forces have abandoned the search for complaints of internal sabotage, unsophisticated weapon, unpaid allowances, etc. It pained me to realise that in some part Borno State people now live in fear, while does in other parts of the country live free without sympathy or concern of ther counterparts who have sleepless nights due to insurgents.

Our mother land which used to be a multi-exporting nation now only depends on petroleum, whose market value is gradually collapsing.
Our currency seems to be dwindling day after day, this same currency we all thought someday is going to compete with the U.S Dollar (possibly when we become among the top twenty economy in the world). Will that day ever come to reality if we continue like this?? What has happened to our groundnut pyramids in the north?? The textile industries in the south?? The agricultural produce in the east

And yet 2015 elections we await, thinking and pondering with anticipation, joy and fear. Also praying for a divine change. We. Only hope God that will hear the cry of his people this time. Answer their plight, rescues his people and elevate them from the clutchs of bad governance, Nigeria has suffered since post colonial era. Nevertheless Nigeria remains the gaint of African, filled with bundle of Natural and Human resources. But if we must attain that level of greatness we aspire, the change must begin within "YOU" and "I".
