I am a new student of C++ but I have some Challenges,anytime I type in a code,about 2 run and Compile,It pops up an error “source file not found “ wats dat sopose 2 mean.
Pls Help Me out..
NB•i use Dev C++ as my compiler

May be the configured search path for your compiler is not setup properly, so please try to do that.
Although have not all that kind been used to dev whether compiler and ide.
Try to setup the environment propoerly.
Also please remember to check whether you are using a no-setup version of the same.
Expectng some experts in the field to talk.

Don't use dev c++. Download Visual Studio for Desktop 2013, Express edition.

what a crap!? Dev c++ latest update is 2013. So its not obsolete. @op, just make sure that MinGW32 is set up correctly in your system environment variables. It will surely work.

Dev c++ is obsolete but Orwell Dev C++, which is more like a fork, is up to date... So I guess it will do more help if you let us know which of these you use

its a compiler !, did u install code blocks successfully ? does the default hello world program runs ?

Can You snapshot the error messages and them post here ? You can also check if your compiler settings is like the one below

My Code blocks Gives an error of *Auto-detected installation path of "GNU GCC compiler in 'C/Dev -Cpp* wen on Auto detect

hey, Try to Update your MinGw Compiler (the one that came with ur Dev cpp might be old ) and Set the PATH in your IDE Compiler Options to the Corresponding directories !

Just use GNU C++ compiler. Download, add to your environment and compile as c++ file.cpp.

@OP Just download "codeblocks EP", I would advice you not to stick with only visual studio because its not multi platform like codeblocks
