Lagbaja will be playing along side the legendary South African trumpeter, Hugh Masekela. The prestigious event will take place in Lagos on January 8, 2015.
Other artists billed to perform that night include
Naija’s finest; Flavour, P-Square and Wande Coal. Also performing is Congo DRC’s Fally Ipupa, Hakim, S.A’s Gospel group Uhuru, Tanzania’s Diamond.
The award is held yearly to celebrate the continent’s finest footballers and football administrators. The first edition of the award was held in 1992 with the prestigious CAF Footballer of the year going to Ghana’s Abedi Pele. Below is a list of the former winners since the inauguration:
