Reminiscing my adolescence, I vividly recall how I was constantly bullied to the point of tears by these ibeji Oran (possessed twins) who always take leisure in being boisterous due to their form and structure. I remember clearly, while with no hope of overcoming being swaggered by this humans, I resorted to name callings and one of my most used phrase was - awon aje oshi meji.

For those who do not understand the meaning of those words, its simply the most eloquently retaliatory way a physically/mentally tormented kid would refer to his/her tormentors - [/b] [b]those twin miserable witches.

Back to Messi and Ronaldo

The footballing world is obsessed with comparing these two footballing sensations. Have you ever stepped back and thought about how similar the two men really are? Sure, their football clubs are arch-rivals: but the two attackers are more similar than we think. First and foremost, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen. They are legends and are miles ahead of any other footballer playing today. Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or once and finished second to Lionel Messi on three occasions since. The next award will almost certainly go to one of them.

Messi exerts influence on a match, playing more around the centre of the pitch than Ronaldo and bringing in more of his team-mates into attacks. Ronaldo is more comfortable taking solo runs on the wide sides, and he is no much better as a finisher than Messi who is a master in ball control, passing, speed, stamina, balance, dribbling and scoring.

So to my friend Theo, I know exactly how you must have felt to have written those words. Messi and Ronaldo are real soccer tormentor, greatly skilled, almost flawless at their craft. You ask yourself, only superhumans can play football like this lot. Anyways I must say i am blessed to be alive to see both these twin phenomenons.

In conclusion, if you still find it difficult to understand the plot of this write up and my presumed correlation between my ibeji Oran and awon aje meji oshi yii...try imagining yourself being a piece of football, and you have Ronaldo and Messi on the same team playing you around for ninety minutes of a football match.
