African champions, Nigeria will end 2014 in 43rd place in the monthly Fifa rankings released by the world football governing body yesterday in Zurich. The Super Eagles have dropped one place in the latest classifications and are now ranked as the ninth best football playing nation in Africa. Nigeria amassed 656 points in the latest rankings. Algeria, Tunisia, the Ivory Coast, Senegal, Ghana, Guinea, Cape Verde and Cameroon are the African countries ranked above Nigeria in the latest rankings.
