Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by dejiariyo: 2:40am On Dec 11, 2008
this are all gimmicks, 30 thousand copies aint nothing the way they sell things for alaba is not that easy,i think its retailers that u talking about, its normal for him to sell thats much but mind yu not everyone will fall for this, well good marketing strategy.but note not how well u sell but how much impact whats u selling makes.
Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by tosinadeda: 7:09am On Dec 11, 2008
@dejiariyo
i knew u were coming!
How many copies has ur mode9 sold?
e reach 10,000?
Ans me?
Retailer or no retailer.
Its either ure mode9 or his manager!
Cos even on youtube, all him songs na u post them! And u always talk shit, jst to support him
Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by cabali(m): 7:34am On Dec 11, 2008
It is expected for M.I. to sell more than mode 9 cos he is more commercial than him. He has an appeal the crowd has already certified so sales will go through without high hassles.

plus M.I. aint interested in battle (at least not just yet) so everyone's gatta love him for now.

Mode 9 on the other hand will have issues with the fans of the guys he has chosen to battle and that will place a cut on his sales potential
Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by Osagz: 8:53am On Dec 11, 2008
Basically, we should not be arguing about Mode 9 or M.I, people like you turn these guys against eachother
I'm happy M.I is selling and i think he will moveunits, we just need a new video thats all.
Besides the Mode 9 album is great

Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by blinx(m): 2:15pm On Dec 11, 2008
I dont doubt the fact that MI will sell well. People love him. I've seen him grace a couple good events dressed in his suit.
MI for now wont battle Mode cos during the last WAPI that held at British Council in Abuja, MI was seriosely hailing mode, so i believe they'er friends. Jesse Jags, the younger brother of MI produced one of the best tracks on mode's new album.
That aside, i didn't know the album was out but now that i know i'll buy mine today. It's also funny cos i heard one of MI's track on radio that he did with the 7 star general, Pype, and that track was a party track, yet MI was hailing mode, encouraging him to keep doing classic. With that party track by MI and the fact that people love him will make him rock far more shows than mode.
Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by Nobody: 2:52pm On Dec 11, 2008

From what i know so far, his album features known artists such as Pype, Y.Q, Blaise, Banky W, Jesse Jagz, Wande Coal and more; including Chocolate City artists.

Some of the tracks from “Talk About It” were actually produced by Jesse Jagz and M.I.

The album, "Talk About It, " has these tracks
Talk about it
Forever (featuring Wande Coal)
Area (featuring Y.Q.)
Safe (featuring DJinee)
Fast Money (featuring Wizkid)
Problem
Hustler
Crowd Mentality’ (Hip Hop World Awards 2008)
and MORE![/li]
It must have been bought by merchants and not end users for sure, that makes it possible cos a retailer can order 10,000 copies in a minute.

@ ajayi 1, mr. Man, how do you expect them to count with retail sales. Try use your brain, it can only be calculated by the marketer that sold specific box packs to sale rep. On demand. They dont buy 2 sell what wont move or sale. Wake d wake up bro!

You are the one that's not using your brain, think of it. I aint posible you need to understand. MI is not so popular in the music industry and how many ppl will you ask if they know MI?? So dont tell me what is not posible is posible.
Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by cabali(m): 5:00pm On Dec 12, 2008
well, it is true that a musician sells more than another does not mean he is better but it sure means he is more successfull!!

More sales represents deeper penetration and totally means higher acceptance so, yeah in this case the numbers show M.I. is more successful at least for now than mode.
Re: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by DBR: 8:01am On Dec 16, 2008
U guys are just funny.
I think many pple hate on M.9, dunno y tho.
pple complain that his album wsnt available on time
but same guys didnt complain that M.i's sufferd same.
M.i was s'pose to drop on the 1st of Dec. but we didnt get it
until 12th. M.9 didnt even take that long, lol
But the fact that M.9's name keeps comin up in every hiphop/rap thread
only point to d fact that he is a factor.

That said, M.i, great dude, im feelin the dude welllll!!!
And guys dont try pitch him against M.9, they are pals, and
not in competition, sorry to dissapoint u guys.
M.i respects M.9 well. And M.9 feels M.i too.
And for those who says M.i doesnt diss,
one advice, get cotton buds and clean up.
cos dude disses and brags well, it's all in the hiphop thingy.
Lastly, for those who say M.9 got himself a rival
i say nahhh, he's only got himself an heir.
Ma fav. 2 hiphop/rap album of the year: M.9's ParadigmShift(PS) and M.i's Talk about it.
All heads and none heads shud have those,,,and it's a rap!
Red eye, red eye, loopy baby!!
