15' - The corner is cleared but Arsenal retain possession deeper, probing down the left with Gibbs before switching play. Both teams have enjoyed playing it around the back. The move ends when Gardos intercepts Szczesny's long punt upfield.

16' - Bertrand wins a corner after Tadic nutmegs Debuchy. It did look like a goal-kick though.

17' - Ward-Prowse takes it short to Tadic, who flicks it in to Gardos. His header can't find Wanyama at the near post though, but that was well-worked by the home side.

19' - CAZORLA DENIED! Chambers is caught in possession by Tadic, but he is tackled by Coquelin who releases Sanchez. His ball finds the Sapniard in space, but his shot is too close to Forster, who saves well.

20' - Gardos strides across to nick the ball from the feet of Rosicky. He is a very upright centre-back with a good passing range and awareness and has looked impressive so far for the Saints.

26' - Gardos clears once again; he is having a good game so far. Sanchez backheels it neatly to Cazorla and his cross finds Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose shot is only narrowly high and wide. That was lovely from the away side.

27' - Arsenal clear through Gibbs but Southampton has two chances there: a cross from Tadic which went unimpeded through their box, and then one from the other side which Koscielny did well to cut out. Neither side are clearly on top here, and the only winner so far is football!

29' - Sanchez fires in a long shot which Forster takes in the gut. That was a bit exurberant from the Chilean, though with his skill, you would back him to manage almost anything.
