I laugh in japanese *kiakiakia* so if de uses olevels why is it de. Pls dat was an old rumour. Ur olevels increases ur chances....yes but IT IS YOUR ND,ALEVEL,BSC,BA degrees that matter. I knw a lot of As only that werent admitted. Pls all these arguements are not important. At the end of the day it is only God's favour that prevails. Merry christmas all |

Im refuting this rubbish rumour bkus of those dat will visit the thread in the future. Adeshizzy computer science is one of the most competitive depts. Even distinctions are not safe. As i keep on saying its only divine favour that prevails. |

taiwo05: DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT MENTION ME AGAIN. I HAVE FAR BETTER THINGS TO DO. COMPUTER SCIENCE FOR THE PAST 3 YRS HAS NEVER ADMITTED UP TO 30. THIS YR IS HIGHLY ANOMALOUS. I KNOW IT HAS TO DO WITH THE LOW ADMISSION OF UTME CANDIDATES IN THE MERIT LIST. REMEMBER THAT EACH DEPT HAS A QUOTA FOR BOTH DE AND UTME. WHEN UTME DONT PERFORM WELL DE FILLS UP THAT QUOTA. LOOK AT EVEN MEDICINE FOR DE. UI ADMITTED 22 CANDIDATES WHICH IS THEIR HIGHEST IN MORE THAN 3YRS. THIS IS DUE TO THE GOOD PERFORMANCES OF THE STUDENTS. THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT NEXT YR WILL BE THE SAME. EACH YEAR IS DIFFERENT. EVEN WITH THE HIGH NO. OF CANDIDATES IN COMPUTER SCIENCE SOME DISTINCTIONS FROM REPUTABLE INSTITUTIONS WERENT TAKEN. AS FOR UR RUBBISH OLEVEL ANALYSIS DAT IS PURE BULL. I KNOW U HAD DAT RUMOUR IN MIND. LET ME EXPLAIN SINCE U REFUSE TO KEEP ME OUT OF UR CRAP. DAT WAS D RUMOURED CALCULATION CLAIMED TO BE USED IN THE PAST. KEY WORD BEING " RUMOURED". IF THAT SYSTEM WAS BEING USED I WILL HAVE STOOD NO CHANCE COS I HAD 1B2,3B3s AND A C4. SO IMAGINE D MAGNIFICIENT OLEVELS THAT IM SURE MOST OF D MEDICINE APPLICANTS MUST HAVE HAD. PLS TAIWO DONT USE ME TO MAKE URSELF FEEL.....WHATEVER ON THIS THREAD. DO NOT MENTION ME AGAIN.DURING SUBMISSION OF TRANSCRIPT ONE OF THE ADMISSION STAFF CONFIRMED THAT MEDICINE, ELECT ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE HAD THE HIGHEST NO OF APPLICANTS. FOR THOSE PLANNING ON APPLYING NEXT YR NO ONE KNOWS WHAT METHOD THEY USE. ALL U CAN GET IS AN IDEA. THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO SUBMIT ALL NEEDED DOCUMENTS ONTIME AND PRAY. The truth is, applicant's A level, ND, or BSc results as the case may be, is "weightier" than O level. But like dearpiriye has said, Direct Entry admission into Ibadan is Grace. At least, I witnessed that this year. Also, the calculation of the O level is somehow shrouded in secrecy, not the conventional ways we are all aware of.
