The following month it spent $2 billion on virtual reality headset maker Oculus VR, before it even had a product ready to sell. Facebook stock has soared, adding $15 billion to Zuck's net worth over the past year and making him the biggest dollar gainer on the FORBES 400. Google still dominates online search, with a 65% share of the global market. There are now more than a billion active Android devices, one for every seven people. CEO Larry Page oversaw a string of acquisitions in the past year, including programmable home thermostat maker Nest for $3.2 billion. In October, he transferred most of his daily responsibilities to Sundar Pichai so he could focus on longer-term strategy.
