My Top 4 Mobile Networks In Nigeria

4) AIRTEL: (aka the cheapstakes) Most android users go for airtel because of how cheap their data subscriptions is. But,their cheap data makes up for their poor and very slow network quality. Cos it is by far the slowest network in Nigeria. If you gat one of those China phones that only have EDGE network this network provider ain't for you cos their EDGE is 1kb/sec slow. It's so slow, that opening a 70kb webpage will take more than a minute,Imagine that! But,for other devices with H+ network, then this network provider is manageable during the day but not at night.

3) MTN: (aka Empty Hen, aka Granddad)
Yeah, the granddad of Nigerian networks, the first ever network to come and stay! Because it started earlier than most network, their network is widely available in most parts of Nigeria,i.e even in the most remotest part of Nigeria MTN network is available. It's good for businessmen that travel around Nigeria. Their data is good but not amazing, and they are just like the devil give you with one hand and take it back wid another. Most customers aren't really happy about the caller tunez services because the customers claim that MTN auto subscribes tis services for all MTN users, not cool!
Before I proceed with My top 4 networks,i wanna say,i had a ball with the top 2. I was confused. But,grading them was pretty easy cos I used both Glo and Etisalat sim cards. So without further ado I give you my top 2 mobile networks in Nigeria.

2) ETISALAT: (aka Etimama, aka Etimumu)
This network is my personal favourite. I started using this network 5 years ago. When I was in SS2. I downloaded my first java game with this network and also embarrassingly saying I downloaded my first porn with this network. It's fast when it comes to browsing and downloading. The customer care service is Class A,no wait for 6mins to talk to a customer care rep, nah, its call and they pick instantly but there's also a downside to every upside. The downside includes the auto renewal of data subscription, most customers find this most inconvenient, saying 'dont rollover data for us,let us re-subscribe,if we want'. Also, when subscribing for certain services, you get the 'Sorry, the operation failed' error message, very annoying. But when it comes to downloading, its the best, speed is incredible. I once downloaded a 35mb android game under 20secs! Unbelievable but very true and real. Imagine that!

1) GLO: Honestly typing,Etisalat should be the number one on my biased Top 4 Mobile Networks in Nigeria, but Glo is better and am about to tell you why. First of all, when it comes to the best network for BlackBerry subscription,we talk about Glo. Their subscription is available for all BlackBerry Devices! I once used a BlackBerry 8830,didnt know if it was a curve or bold but,i knew for sure it was by far the oldest BlackBerry device I've ever used,Glo subscription works perfectly on it,but Etimama claimed that they don't have the BlackBerry subscription for that device. Glo is fast, its convenient, and widely available in most part of Nigeria. Awesome when it comes to calls, they real cheap. Also,I'm currently using a BlackBerry Q10 device, and Glo is the only network that allows the 3GB monthly subscription for 1000naira. With my BlackBerry Q10 device,i can download android apps on my Samsung Galaxy S4 device, with Mobile Hotspot,Glo doesn't restrict it unlike other networks. So yeah, those are why I think Glo is the best...

I'm open to corrections, and suggestions,i no be God,I don't know everything. But the list above was compiled through experiences of family members, myself and my close friends. But,its a new year,so I expect changes, maybe by this time next year, a new network might emerge and become the number one,who knows? But for 2014,GLO is the best.

Thought not Copied.
