A German cryptographer "karsten Nohl" made this discovery. By just sending an SMS to your mobile number, a hidden virus in the message sends security codes of your SIM card back to my computer or any other sender's computer. With this security information any dubious person can perpetuate fraud on your behalf.

Over 750million SIM cards globally are vulnerable to this form of hacking. Nigeria has over 13million active subscribers most of which reside in Lagos and transact businesses on their mobile phones.
However, SIMs manufactured before 2005 are most vulnerable to this attack. So if your SIM card falls under this category you need to be worried before some hacker in Mushin or anywhere else moves your savings or start shopping on Jumia or Konga for the latest Samsung LCDs or LEDs. By the way when was your SIM card manufactured?
