Calling All Unpublished Female Writers: Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize 2015 by sammoe(m): 10:36pm On Jan 17, 2015 |
Unpublished female writers are invited to enter a prestigious £1,000 literature prize. There's a £10 entry price. "The winner of the fifth and final Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize receives £1,000, and, along with all shortlisted entrants, an invitation to the prize- giving dinner on the 14th May 2015 . This annual occasion was instrumental in introducing previous winners, Catherine Chanter (2013) and Joanna Merifield (2014) as well as short-listed entrant Anni Domingo (2014) to their respective agents, and allows attendees to mingle with industry specialists. All shortlisted entrants also earn themselves a one-to one half-hour consultation, kindly provided by Judge and literary agent, Nelle Andrew. Nelle will give editorial feedback and discuss the marketability of the work submitted." Writer and journalist Allison Pearson is chairing the judging panel and says she is looking for 'powerful, original voices'. For more info: www.lucy-cav.cam.ac.uk/fictionprize |
