I have a system which is Intel(R) Pentium(R) dual core processor at a speed of 1.8GHz. Dos it mean dat each processor is 1.8GHz and the total speed is 3.6GHZ |

Nope, it means your single processor with a speed of 1.8Ghz has 2 cores which makes it perform two simultaneous tasks as if it had 2 processors. Think of it has having a single hard drive with two partitions (I hope you know what that means). |
