TITLE: Admin Assistant
RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager
 
A reputable pharmacy based in Gwarimpa Abuja, needs the services of a qualified candidate for this position.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST:
The admin assistant will work under the direct supervision of the manager
 
Primary responsibilities
·      Supervision of the Pharmacist Assistants
·      Supervision of the shop floor
·      Assist in generation of out of stock goods
·      Processing of new stock
·      To assist with stock control to maximise availability and minimise waste.
·      To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines.
·      Assist on date checks on drugs and highlight slow moving items
·      To maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of pharmacy issues for the purpose of continuing professional development.
- Assist in procurement of new stock
- Preparing of weekly sales performance including staff sales figures
·      To work as part of a team and support pharmacy colleagues if needed.

 
General administrative duties
General housekeeping
Check and put away daily orders
Check and file invoices
Awareness of health and safety of environment and reporting to appropriate management any areas of concern
Ensure a high standard of record keeping and involvement in data collection for audit purposes
Awareness and adherence to Pharmacy Security Policies
 
Personal development
Maintain a personal learning plan
Contribute where appropriate to the pharmacy education plan
Attendance at staff meetings and training events
Be prepared to disseminate learning to colleagues
Participate in pharmacy appraisal system
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of OND in Accounting/Management/ Finance/Marketing
Minimum of 2 years working experience in a Customer Focused Role
An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality
Excellent communication skills
Must be customer focused/driven
Must be flexible with regard to working hours
Basic IT skills are essential for this role.
