When our administration came on board, there were several challenges facing the ICT sector and these included the slow development of reliable broadband as well as several uncoordinated broadband initiatives which resulted in connections that were slow, unreliable and expensive. #Nigeriab4GEJ

Additional Fiscal and other measures were undertaken to reduce costs and improve ease of doing business in the ICT Sector. These measures have had far reaching impacts on people in the North Central. Under our administration, people in the North Central have found it easier and cheaper to build ICT infrastructure. ICT sector reforms initiated by our administration have reduced bureaucracy and red tape in building ICT infrastructure. Consequently, the processing time for applications to build ICT infrastructure has been reduced to 30 days while the cost of securing ‘right-of-way’ has fallen from N5 million in #Nigerian4GEJ to N145,000. #GEJAchievements

Under our administration, the speed of broadband connection in the North Central has increased by over 680%, from just 1 MB per second in 2011#Nigeriab4GEJ to 7.8 MB per second in 2014. #GEJAchievements
The results of our administration’s efforts to make broadband more accessible and affordable are being felt in the areas of job creation in the North Central. As more people in the region have access to the internet, the doors of opportunity to the global economy are opening up for all in the region. Compared to #Nigeriab4GEJ, costs have also fallen by over 63%, from about N95,000 in 2011 to N35,000 as at 2013, and it is continuing to fall. #GEJAchievements
