OVER 80 laptops and 200 chairs belonging to Washington Memorial Grammar School, Inland Town, Onitsha, Anambra State, have been reported stolen.
The items were donated by state government and the school’s Parents, Teachers Association (PTA).

Saturday Tribune gathered that the properties were discovered missing after the vice principal arrived in the school one morning last December and found a smashed window of the computer laboratory.

According to a source, it was discovered that about 80 laptops and some chairs belonging to the college had been carted away.
The development was said to have led to the arrest of suspects, including a security man attached to the school.

The principal said the school authorities would get to the root of the matter, while the PTA, after an emergency meeting, vowed to leave no stone unturned in finding those behind the theft of the properties running into millions of naira.
The Police Area Command, Onitsha, is said to be investigating the matter.
