Jose Enrique is out after damaging a calf in the warm-up against Wigan as is Mark Viduka who has a torn groin muscle.
      Habib Beye was also a casualty at the JJB stadium while defender Sebastien Bassong is suspended.
David Edgar and Charles N'Zogbia are likely to be used in a makeshift defence and striker Shola Ameobi could return after a groin injury.

Despite the problems, Kinnear has ordered his team to stop feeling sorry for themselves and come out battling against the league leaders. "It's not looking good. We've got about eight injured at the moment'', he said.

Javier Mascherano is expected to return to the starting line-up for Liverpool. They will still be without full-back Alvaro Arbeloa, who has a hamstring injury, but Fernando Torres could return as a substitute.
    Assistant boss Sammy Lee said: "It is good to still be top, and we hope to still be there going into the new year.
"It will be tough against Newcastle, a very difficult task, but on this form we are looking forward to it.''
