Let me briefly explain this, 1996 - 2000 Honda Civics had the same exterior shape with little cosmetic & mechanical changes,

1999 & 2000 Honda Civics were the Same because Redesigned, slightly bigger Civics were expected for 2001, so changes were few for 2000 Models.
