Can someone pls educate me on dis cus I believe any whistle blown inside d box is automatically a penalty.TANX

Once a goalkeeper handles the ball outside his 18yard box or a back pass inside his 18yard box,that's the free kick that follows..The resulting direct freekick is played inside the 18yard box..

its normal. ..it usually occurs wen a keeper handles a back pass inside d 18 yard box

It does happen if the goal keeper touches a back pass with his hand in the 18yard.

Den u should no dat nt all refree decision are right, its obviously a mistake.

Watch Nigeria vs Greece in USA 94 World Cup,and you will see an incident where Nigeria was awarded a free kick inside Greece's 18 yard box..it happens..whether some fouls are penalty or free kick,in some instances are at the Refs discretion..
