Lecture time. I'll start with this statement: Everything and Nothing is a function of perspective.

You ask how? I'll tell you.

First of, we'll start with "Time and Space".

Generally, we humans perceive or define time and space as a bubble in which events occur. Time is a measure of events to other events, and Space is the medium through which these events occur. That is our perspective.

Now, being a very imaginative (in our perspective) specie, we try to figure out what "outside time and space" is.

For something or an event to be "outside time and space" it would need to not possess any quality at all.

You know why? Because for any quality or characteristic to be possessed is a function of space. And for those characteristics to be exhibited is a function of time.

In other words, if something can be described or explained or said to possess any quality at all, it would be required to be within time and space.

Basically, to be "outside time and space" is to not BE.


Now let me explain that using the popular "uncaused cause" or supernatural/dietal view.

For a diety or being or God to possess qualities like Omnipotence, Omnipresence etc is an indication that said deity is under the influence of time and space, only on a different perspective.

Let me break it down using "Omnipotence". Omnipotence is defined as having the ability to cause any effect. Get it? "Having", "Ability" and "Effect". Like i pointed out, possessing the ability to do something is a function of space. Using that ability is a function of time. So therefore every diety that can be imagined to posses any quality from Eternal life to Omnibenovolence is under the influence of time and space to a perspective larger than it.


So if our universe was caused by an event or a being, that being would be acting under the influence of its own version of time and space while we act on our own version of time and space.

That brings us to the definition of "Time and Space". Remember when I said everything is a perspective? Yes, that is it.

Our perspective of time and space starts with the beginning of our universe, which was/is an event and is also subject to its own perspective of time and space. That is to say that we living in this universe are subject to a version of time and space, and anything outside this universe is subject to its own version of time and space.

So when you ask about things that exist "outside time and space", you have just described a quality (of existing outside time and space) and therefore are looking for something or events outside your personal or general perspective of time, but are still subject to their own personal or general perspective of time and space.

Let us look at perspectives between our universe, you as a human and a photon.

To a photon created few moments ago from a star, time and space came into existence few moments ago. It's existence and actions are all within its bubble of time and space (which to us is a few moments in the past and a few in the future). And in few moments it would cease to exist. And that would be the end of its perspective of time and space.

To you as a human, your perspective of time and space begins with the beginning of the bubble of time and space you find yourself in (our universe) and ends with the end of this universe.

To the universe its perspective of time and space is contained within its own bubble of time and space (the situation of a possible multiverse). To it (our universe), everything inside it came into existence few moments ago.

So even though we all have different perspectives of time, space and what constitutes "outside time and space" (To a photon, we are outside time and space. To us anything outside our universe is outside time and space. And to our universe, every thing outside the possible multiverse is outside time and space), and we interact with one another in certain ways (a photon interacts with us, and we in turn interact with the universe) we are all still under a larger version/perspective of time and space.


In general, for anything to exist, it is subject to a version of time and space.
Now you may ask 'What of things that exist outside the highest form of space and time?'

Well, since you've described it as having the quality of existing, then you have also indicated that whatever that thing is, it is still under its own version of time and space though that version is not understood by you.

In conclusion for anything to exist outside time and space, it would have to posses no quality whatsoever, so ability and in general, NO EXISTENCE.


Ladies and Gentlemen, now you know why dieties that posses qualities cannot be the "uncaused cause" of time and space.
