We have scanned the Rave 4 2001 and discovered fault code PO420 only. She just bought the car about 3 months ago and have only given it to a mechanic to change the ATF last week when she noticed the car drags from gear 1-2.

Please what could be the possible solution.

Hope they used the right ATF, else the real transmission problems may just be on the way.

Pls im thinking of buying a toyota rav 4 03 or 05 model please can someone educate me on maintenance of this vehicle pros and cons.

I use Rav4 2004 and it is very efficient. No car is problem free, it's all about management. With rav4, you don't need to have a mechanic. Just use the right oil weight and always monitor your car, You are good to go

I am seriously considering getting a Toyota Rav 4 2004 , please someone should please help with the price range for a clean tokunbo used Rav 4. I would also love to hear from people currently using Toyota Rav 4, what are the things to look out for, what are the maintenance costs like, are spare parts available and affordable, what are the tips to for maintenance ?

Am currently using rav4 2004 and I will say it's cheap compact vehicle with beauty all over it. Please ensure on buying not less than 2004 model cus of perceived transmission ossie. The parts and readily available and affordable, just ensure you do your regular maintenance and use the right oil for servicing. Price range should be 1.5 to 1.9 depending no how neat the car is both bodily and engine

Am looking at getting a 2005 rav4 but all the lights on d dashboard comes on wen d ignition is turned on. I haven't seen d car yet. Can anyone help with possible check areas before considering buying?
