Pls does anyone know hw possible is it to run only whatsapp on my android phone without any other app in d background?

I've noticed dat once my Data Connection is switched ON, both wanted & unwanted apps start sucking my data. Often times, I hv bn left to wonder hw abt 10mb depletes within just 5mins of reading two to four pages on Nairaland, for example.

Or is there any app to disable all running apps EXCEPT whatsapp? Or any app to allow only one app running at a time? Atleast if it is only whatsapp running, I can conveniently regulate when to hook up or nt.

Go to Data usage on ur phone settings. Click on Options u will see restrict background Data. Enable it then u are good to go

Thnks my guy. Bt when I tried enabling it, I gt dis msg ''if u restrict background mobile data, some apps & services won't work unless you're connected to a Wi-Fi network''. Now asked to 'Cancel' or 'Ok'.

So d question now is, if I click Ok to enable it, hw wl I know which app wl run or nt or wl require wikfi or nt?

If privacy was an issue it won't be on play store. Saves you data! Life hack had only good things to say about it.

did I just hear you say 10mb? on an android phone? if you can't afford to buy at least 200mb throw that phone away and get a Nokia torchlight phone , it conserves data baje, doesn't chop much at all

Put a tick in start on boot, if you only use data (data and WiFi options are your available choices)connection, put ticks in the apps you want to restrict data access and click start.

The new filter options enables you preset your own options and not use the default.
Simply use default, which completely blocks unwanted connections or play around with the available filter options.

No-Root does not use your data. it creates a dummy vpn connection to send the data packets to.

thats how it works without root. It shows up on data manager like its using data, but its not. thats just the sent packets from the apps that you have restricted.

FFS the app itself explains it, don't you people read at all? not even the apps 5 lines FAQ?

As long as yo Phone ain't rooted, NoRoot is Epic... It doesn't use yo data and the interface is definitive enough for u to play with..
