The rarest type of song in the world is a HIT
song. Every artist wants one, but somehow
many are never able to make one because of
this one statement “there is no ONE formula
to manufacture HITs”.
You can listen and study all the hits in the

(Remix) by Lil Kesh, Gallardo by Runtown,
Tchelete with Mafikizolo, Daddy by Reminisce
along with his own solo TOP Charting
singles, there’s a very high level of
confidence in every artist that secures Davido
for a feature on their single… They
automatically, and rightfully so, believe that
the ONE (single) will TOP the Charts once
the single has the “O.B.O…
Baddest”signature by Davido – preferably at
the beginning of the song.
Don Jazzy
Probably one of the true musicians in our
beloved Nigerian music industry. Don Jazzy
sleeps, dreams, breathes, eats and sh*ts
music… It’s both art and science to him. He
creates a piece of music and then
understands what needs to be added and
removed to make it sound like a masterpiece.
Yes, Don Jazzy does have an advantage
when it comes to features especially when he
produces the song he features on. Jazzy has

(Supreme Mavin Dynasty) label such as
Dorobucci, Surulere, Eminado and non-label
singles which include Gift by Iyanya, P-
Square’s Collabo and a few others.
Olamide
Olamide’s presence in Nigerian Music is both
dominant and ubiquitous at the same time,
in respect to how his music appears to be.
So, if he is featured on any song, there is a
high tendency that most music lovers in
Nigeria will listen to the song. In addition,
Olamide adds a different dimension on his
features especially when he is allowed to lace
the hooks. If many of the songs he featured
on in the past were adequately promoted,
they would have dominated many local
charts across the country.
2face Idibia
The most loved Artist in Nigeria is 2face
Idibia hands down. 2face is also another
creature who has the innate ability to create
hit songs at will, never mind his most recent
album which many critics have labelled a
“dud”, but 2face Idibia will kill any feature he
puts his mind to; just ask Bracket, M.I and
P-Square.
